The CCBL’s mission is to provide a competitive summer baseball League for Collegiate players who are residing in the Central Texas area. CCBL is an affiliate of the National Baseball Congress, the largest amateur baseball organization in America and hosts of the NBC World Series each year in Wichita Kansas. CCBL rosters are approximately 70% college players with eligibility remaining, 15% high school players, and 15% ex pro’s and college players. Currently, the league has nine teams in Austin, San Antonio, Seguin, Georgetown, and Round Rock.
Formed to fill the void created when the Zaragoza Amateur Baseball League folded in 2009 after 40 plus seasons as an NBC affiliate, CCBL is committed to being the most competitive amateur summer League in South Texas. CCBL is not a “recreational” league in the sense that everybody looking for a place to play can be accommodated. CCBL is a “competitive” league meaning each team will build its roster with the most competitive players available. Teams compete for the right to represent the CCBL in the NBC World Series in July. Players interested in joining a CCBL team should contact one of the Coaches listed on our contacts page.
If you are interested in forming a team to join the CCBL, or in providing sponsorship for players, teams, or to the League, please contact the League office at the address listed on the side bar. CCBL team budgets are very small. CCBL teams play a 24 game schedule beginning in early June and concluding in mid July.
